Charlotte is one of the historical village in the mountain villages before and after the abolition of slave trade, Charlotte is one of the villages that the recaptives settle in 1787. This why we av settlement places like Aku town, Bottom Shekeh, Bankoko, Mammy Yoko Road, King Yard.

Charlotte is also surrounded with hills and high mountains, with two beautiful waterfalls, one av been converted to a national mini hydro, its av a touristic attraction and the village is situated in a valley with natural water catchments and big stream that runs across the village.

Another significant historical event that makes to be rich in history, the first girl secondary school in west Africa was founded and established in Charlotte in 1816 with eight girls by the Christian missionary society (CMS) we also av the third Anglican church in West Africa

Initially the livehood of our ancestors are farming, Gardening, Cattle Rearing and hunting.
